I've seen it, and i believe it's because ROH main fanbase expect that out of them. Alot of ROH diehard fans are pretentious not a very nice persons.
...and i commend them for doing that, atleast it makes them different from the other feds on mainstream PPV and television. Atleast it is a different product.

The EWF has provided other wrestling promotions to book some old WWF/E talent, so anybody that's interested, take a look at this website: www.ewfarena.com/index2.htmlYou have to click on the Premier Booking section the right side of the screen, there's an asorment of talent, from Shark Boy to Tatanka, Lita, even Doink the Clown. so maybe, could there be a possibilty that some of these names come to IPW???

Shark Boy has already wrestled in IPW vs. Vortekz in the second JR. Tourney in 2002 i believe.

oh my god, that's so cool to hear. well, then Shark Boy should come back to IPW, or bring in somebody that can get some crowds into the shows.

If Mike's going to book talent like that, he needs to find their personal contact info, unless the bookee specifically states you have to go through a "booking agency." The reason for that is simple, agencies jack the price up so they can make money, too. lol.

Well, I do hope that Mike at least tries to book some of the talent listed on that website. but i don't really like it when people jack up the price for the money.

I am really hard on you Juggs, but you make it so easy.... Why bring in a name that would just be punching a time clock to the show? Think of risk versus reward. If we brought in say Tatanka, who I love, and he doesn't give his all and brings down the show? Do you think the 30 extra people his name would bring in would return if the show was less then stellar? And some of the regulars would feel like IPW was straying away from their normal great shows.... Thus losing intrest from them, and money from them. We MUST stay the corse that is set. WE ARE one of the BEST indy feds in north america, bar none. I wouldn't trade a d**ned thing for what we have now. Try thinkin of ways outside the box to draw. Ex wwe "stars" are not always worth the weight.

I agree with your Chris...All the "former" stars will do is cost the fed more money and most of the time (not all the time) the just "call in" their performance. We need to concentrate on what we have and bring in other Indy guys that will give it their all. Plus you bring in a big name one month....Get a few extra people to come and if they are uneducated when it comes to independent wrestling they wont come back the next time unless there is another "big" name on the card. Does that make sense to you fan or did that fly over your head like everything else anyone has said to you?

Yea, I don't really care who the EWF brings in, they're going to bringing in the Sandman on January 5th(day of IPW) so who cares about that one. They already have a great roster anyway, Osyris is the fan favorite for some reason; Hillbilly Jedd and Joey Owens are also there. I feel so bad for the fans because they don't have their top dog to watch(if u know who i mean).

To be very fair, The EWF has picked up on there draw. Infact, they draw about 75-100 people a show every week. I think its because of the good talent, Joey Owens, Hillbilly Jed, Louis Linaris (the best cruiserweight up there), Locked N' Loaded (Which are the best heels up there).
They do draw crowds up there.

I don't even know how the EWF can have shows every Saturday night when they can. First time I was there, less than 50 people were there, that made IPW look good when it comes to attendance. next time i was there, i actually had to sit in 2nd row(really shocking to me). yea, yea, that's a good thing when it comes to attendance, but 75-100 people isn't really going to help the EWF that much. If they want to keep the promotion alive and want bigger crowds, they need to move the building elsewhere or remodel the current building to have seats for those big crowds they rarely have. Yes, probably the talent they have probably draws, but Louis Linaris and Joey Owens are always down here for IPW on the first Sat. every month(don't forget about Osyris, the crowd's favorite).

I haven't been to EWF in a few months, but they barely drew when I would attend shows. The only time they drew more than 40 people was when a name was booked. EWF can't hold crowds like IPW does based solely on the talent roster. No offense to regular EWF guys, but at every IPW show you can tell everyone goes out and gives 110%, even when they're injured. I noticed half the time that EWF guys seemed like they were phoning matches in one week, then busting their ass the next. You have to give your all every show, regardless if you run every week, ever day, every month, etc.
There's nothing really wrong with EWF's building; the part of Marion it's in, isn't THAT horrible (I've been to worse places), and the seating isn't bad considering what draws most of the time, even when it's packed everyone has a good view of the ring. The only bad thing about the building, is no heat and no ac (unless the heat thing has been fixed.)
IPW running once a month, and continously on the first Saturday really does help with their draw. People know when the show will be by memory, they have enough time to save their money to buy tickets, merch, conecessions, etc., and so forth. Running every week CAN hurt a promotion, storylines become redundant and attendance drops because people assume what happened last week will pretty much happen again the following week, lol. (I've skipped watching Raw's and Smackdown's for the very reason, so it's not just Indy promotions, lol).
