Internally, no one has any confidence that Wrestlemania will do a buyrate anywhere close to the past two events. Most company officials predict the show doing somewhere in the 500k range, which would be the lowest since WrestleMania XIX in 2003.
If the "25th Anniversary of WrestleMania" experiences the same percentage drop as the Royal Rumble did (23 percent), the number would be around 800,000 buys. However, it would cost the company approximately $4,000,000 as compared to last year, and will more than likely lead to more cost-cutting measures from the company. So much of the company's financials are tied into the revenue that WrestleMania produces, so a number of jobs are on the line with this year's event.
WWE will be releasing their 1st quarter report featuring the numbers from WrestleMania in May, so that's when you can probably expect another storm of company layoffs to hit providing things don't turn around creatively within the next few weeks.
In an update on the sales figures for WWE's Voices album, the CD has sold 55,828 copies thus far. The album finished at No. 176 on the charts this past week, selling an additional 3,060 copies.
WWE will be holding another three-hour episode of Monday Night Raw on June 15 at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tickets for the event go on sale on Friday, April 10th at 10:00 a.m.
Example Travis "Tyson" Tomko and everyone that's been cut before him are just the beginning from what I can tell.
Like this list also that has been released.
Scotty Goldman, Manu, Freddie Prinze, Jr. (creative team writer), John Carle (creative team writer), Afa Anoa'i, Sr. (talent consultant), The Boogeyman, developmental wrestler Kaleb O'Neal, Ryan Braddock and Kizarny. Another creative team writer was let go alongside Carle two weeks ago, although we don't have his name yet. WWE also recently parted ways with developmental female performer Saylor James (real name Catalina White), although it is unknown how long ago she was released.
Alright now, everybodys thoughts and comments?
