Please note these are ALL of my personal thoughts, & did NOT steal them from another site.
I just want to discuss of how Chrisitan has impacted the WWE, especially ECW, ever since he returned over two weeks ago. Yes, it was a major shocker to the WWE Universe when returned to the WWE ring. And yet, he decides to already mess around "THE All-American American" Jack Swagger. Good beginning to a storyline, but I'll talk about my other thoughts later.
Later that same night, Swagger decides to take the night off. Instead, Teddy Long decides to not let this happen & have him face Christian. Better here, but shouldn't Christian start off with the jobbers first??
Main Event Time: Jack Swagger vs. Christian, with Finlay & Hornswoggle doing commentary. Very good match in a long time on the weekly episodes of ECW, but then something bad happens: Hornswoggle & Finlay decided to interfere and hit Swagger with the shillieigh or however you spell that. This does allow Christian to hit his awesome finisher. Good match, but bad ending I think.
Next week, or this past Tuesday, was of course the set-off from No Way Out, with a good main event planned for the night: Mark Henry & Jack Swagger vs. Christian & Finlay. Of course, with Finlay in a match & Hornswoggle on the outside, you know something bad is bound to happen.
And of course, you'd be right. Everything is going well, when the turning point comes in: Hornswoggle comes in after an attempted World's Strongest Slam by Mark Henry, & of course Finlay uses that d**n shilleagh against him. I'm pretty sure that Swagger then takes out Finlay.
Next, Swagger attempts the devastating gutwrench powerbomb(a move I think Osyris should start using), with Christian as the victim. Then, all of a sudden, Christian is able to get out of it & uses his own finisher?!?! Awesome move right there, very well excecuted if you ask me.
Then this is what makes me all mad: an announcement was made that Christian will be facing Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship next week on ECW. Why is this happening?? Chrisitian just came back from how long? A few months, a year or two maybe?
I don't understand what's going on here; Christian is supposed to make his way up that ladder to EARN that title opportunity to face Swagger for the title. He's not supposed to just have that GIVEN to him. Unless something were to happen like at Insanity Rulez, this shot would've been well deserved. But unfortunatley, it isn't in my opinion.
Yes, I'll be watching next Tuesday night. I know it'll be a good match like it was last time. I am just praying that Swagger beats the holy hell out of Christian, because he just so deserves it!!
