Cut N' paste special www.myvirtualbc.com/audiointerviews/alsnow.mp3 just listened to a podcast with Al Snow... « Thread Started Today at 8:47am » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Very very interesting, and the most interesting of all was when he was talking about wrestling matches today, and how in his opinion the best wrestling matches are the ones that sell the most tickets, not the ones with the most wrestling moves or excitement. His example really was Wrestlemania 3, he asked the interviewer what he thought and everybody else thought was the best match on the show, and the interviewer said "I see where you're going with this...Steamboat/Savage", and Al said "But did they? Wrestlemania 3 had the highest attendance and do you think those people paid to see Savage/Steamboat? No, they paid to see Hulk and Andre. So really, did Savage and Steamboat have the best match at Wrestlemania 3? No, but that's not to take away from what an incredible match it was". He has some really good points, and also talked about smart wrestling fans as critics, and thinking that because of the knowledge that we now have thanks to the internet and the dirt sheets, it gives them a basis to criticise when most have never even taken a back drop, or a bodyslam, or anything like that. In his own words "Today's wrestlers are so focused on the action, they fail to realise the action means nothing to the audience, because they aren't doing anything or telling a good enough story to get that crowd to have a collective orgasm".

that is so true here
they have to please the crowd to get them to come back to a show
if a group can get this done at a show it is a very big hit with the people and a bigger turn out at the next one , as the word is out on the show as a hit to give them what they want out of the show .
