Chaos was the theme of the night at last night's live HWA event at The Sorg Opera House.
HWA Cruiserweight Champion "Astonishing" Aaron Williams kicked things off with a victory over "The Insane Import" Random Dragon.
Dustin Rayz would pick up a victory over Matt Riot in the second contest of the evening.
Then the chaos started...
"The New Horror" Sami Callihan and HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist engaged in a vicious brawl that took both combatants up the aisle and into the balcony of The Sorg Opera House before they ever officially made it into the ring for their non-title match up.
In the end Jake Crist would come out victorious over Callihan, but the two would cross paths once again before the night was over.
HWA hopeful Ron Mathis was attacked from behind by Ala Hussein, who was making his official in ring return to the HWA. Mathis put up a fight but would eventually succumb to Hussein's dreaded camel clutch.
JT Stahr, The Madness, Deja Vu and Ben Kimera did not waste anytime getting into the action in the HWA Tag Team Title Match as the fight began on the stage area before spilling over into the ring.
The match ended in disqualification when Andre Heart, who was ring announcing the event, got into an argument with The Entourage's super agent Brock Guffman, pushing him down and prompting "The Madness" Chris Hall to come over and get physical with Heart.
This set off Andre Heart who would springboard himself into the ring, forcing Senior Official Joe Kopasz to disqualify the team of Ben Kimera and Deja Vu and allowing The Entourage to walk away with the HWA Tag Team Titles still in their possession.
The crowd was irate with the referee's decision as Andre Heart grabbed the microphone and challenged HWA officials to sign a Falls Count Anywhere! Anything Goes! Street Fight between The Entourage and the trio of Benjamin Kimera and the reunited GP Code for next week's show.
And in the main event, Dave Crist and Jon Moxley would take each other to the limit before "The New Horror" Sami Callihan showed up pushing Dave Crist off the top rope and causing a disqualification.
But before Callihan and Moxley could inflict permanent damage on Dave Crist, HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist showed up to save his brother... this prompted Moxley to exit the ring, leaving his partner in crime alone with both members of The Irish Airborne.
This did not end well for Sami who found himself the victim of a Spike Piledriver, an Irish Car Bomb and even being hung out to dry before being left for dead among the debris of the fans popcorn and soda cups.
Don't forget the HWA presents A Fight at the Opera each and every Wednesday Night at The Sorg Opera House (63 S. Main Street - Middletown, OH). Tickets are only $5! And the action starts at 7:30 PM!
The Heartland Wrestling Association celebrated Thanksgiving Eve last night at The Sorg Opera House with a spectacular night of wrestling action.
In the opening match, a steel chair backfire caused V-Rad to lose to "The Mauler from Motown" Ben Kimera.
The Hybrids (Donovan Cain & Jason Lyte) were victorious against the debuting Utterly Fabulous in tag team action.
"The Madness" Chris Hall dominated Matt Riot and Ron Mathis in a handicap match.
Louis Lyndon won a 4 Way Cruiserweight Scramble against Bryan Skyline, Jack Verville and Flip Kendrick.
In ladies action, one-half of the SHIMMER Tag Team Champions Nevaeh defeated "Sassy" Stephie Sinclair.
And then there was the main event... an 8 Man Tag Team Elimination Match pitting the team of Jon Moxley, Sami Callihan, JT Stahr and Dustin Rayz against the team of Dave Crist, Deja Vu, HWA Cruiserweight Champion "Astonishing" Aaron Williams and HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist.
The near 40 minute match was filled with action and excitement from bell to bell.
The first man eliminated was "Deja Vu" Richard Phillips after a smack in the face by JT Stahr, who was not even the legal man at the time, caused Vu to snap and run after the leader of The Entourage which resulted in a count out loss for The Double Dutch Bus.
Dustin Rayz would be the second man eliminated when he was pinned by Aaron Williams.
Aaron would then get the pinfall on JT Stahr after Stahr was superkicked by Jake Crist making him easy pickings for the "Astonishing One".
Jon Moxley would catch a springboarding Dave Crist and nail him with the Moxicity which was enough to pin him for the 1-2-3 making Dave the fourth man eliminated.
A double DDT from Sami and Jon Moxley delivered to Aaron Williams was enough to knock the HWA Cruiserweight Champion out of both the match and consciousness.
Jake Crist would overcome the two on one disadvantage and eliminate Sami Callihan, leaving him in the ring with "The Most Dangerous Man in the HWA" Jon Moxley.
Moxley and Jake engaged in another battle of the ages, both men seemingly having the match won for their respective teams time after time.
But after nailing his third Moxicity on Jake, Jon Moxley pinned the HWA Heavyweight Champion's shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3.
After the match Jon Moxley vowed to not only defeat Jake the next time they met, but destroy him.
Jake Crist would commend Moxley for his win, saying he earned a shot at the HWA Heavyweight Title but Jake raised the stakes when he challenged Moxley to meet him inside a steel cage at HWA World War III on December 19th at The Sorg Opera House.
Moxley accepted the challenge and went so far as to refer to the steel cage match on December 19th as Jake Crist's funeral.
