It's the same today as it's always been : Wrestlers know there will always be someone ready , willing and able to take their place . Still, there's a difference between working with pain and actually enjoying it ! And what you find out is that there have been a select few in the sport that actually love the pain .
Can , you think of a wrestler that thrives on the pain ??
Could the pain threshold leave others mystified , than any other contemporay wrestler?
Personally , most performers believe it comes with the territiory , I think they all love it ,they get off on the hurting and bleeding and getting stitches --just to please the fans with some unbelievable stuff every time out .
Unfortunately , every wrestler who steps inside the ring runs the risk of suffering a serious , debilitating injury ---one they may never come back from . Of course injuries can happan at times ----not just when their jumping off ladders , etc. Even the simplist move , one that they perform in every match , can be they last . It can just happen at any-time with a blink of a eye it can all change , and they are all aware of this !! With what these athletes go through , it just can't be fake ---all for US the fans to be entertained at the shows !!
So, think next time someone says ---Wrestling is Fake !!
Still, even though the business has long since been exposed, the role of a professional wrestler , once he steps inside the ring , remains essentially the same . ----you can get hurt !!
A grapplers career depends on getting a rise out of an audience ---they always feel the audience hads to believe everything they did in the ring ----that if it wasn't real they wouldn't sell tickets --so it is up to the wrestlers to make believers out of the fans !
These guys are professionals, they know what they are doing in the ring . But the average fan doesn't appreciate how much pain is involed in nearly every single match or manenuer. It's all about being trained to learn how to fall, take a bump , learning moves , holds . Every wrestler knows that the ring is a very dangerous place . You can be seriously hurt , even if you know what your doing , always be significant amount of pain is involed every time out to that ring .
Every night , on every card , there are numerous wrestlers working through severe pain ---the type of agony an ordinary person can't even imagine . If they want to make money, they can't just call in sick --they can't take time off just too heal up after each show --but just move on to the next .
