On July 12, 2008 Drake Younger defeated Nick Gage in a "Tangled Web" Death match for the CZW World Heavyweight Championship, making him a dual champion as he currently also holds the CZW Ultra Violent Underground Championship. Drake has now been champion for just over 3 months and has been one of the most fighting Champions the company has ever seen, defending the belt all over the United States.

As of today, Thursday September 18th, 2008 Absolute Intense Wrestling is proud to announce that AIW Absolute Owner Chandler Biggins and Combat Zone Wrestling have come to terms on having the Combat Zone Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship defended this Sunday September 21st at AIW's "Die Another Day" in Cleveland, Ohio. Just hours after Absolute intense Wrestling announced the Strong Style Dream Match between former Absolute Champ Vincent Nothing and current CZW World Heavyweight Champion "The Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger, Chandler Biggins received a phone call from CZW management and wheels were put in motion to raise the stakes even higher and make it a CZW World Heavyweight Championship Match. The prestigious CZW World Heavyweight Championship has been held by over 30 top level athletes since Combat Zone Wrestling's inception in 1999, the likes of Chris Hero, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Eddie Kingston, Ruckus, and Super Dragon are all former champions and the belt has been defended all over the globe including defenses in Japan, Mexico, England, Italy, and Ireland.

The match between Vincent and Drake will be not only for the title, but be under Strong Style rules. That means the title can change hands on Knock Out, Submission or Pinfall. There are no count outs or DQ's. While the stakes are far higher for both, this could be a career match for Vincent Nothing. Vincent Nothing is no stranger to Philly area fans and could end up leaving AIW with the CZW Title. Could this be Vincent's big moment? Or will it be another successful title defense on Drake Younger's Championship history?

Former AIW Tag Champs, The Switchblade Saints have requested to be added to the show. What will they be doing? Will they once again leave with AIW gold?

NEW MATCH ADDED TO "DIE ANOTHER DAY"

We're proud to announce an added bonus attraction to "Die Another Day". Revelation 13 exploded at Absolution 3, when Faith In Nothing & Mad Man Pondo beat Matthew Justice, "The Passion" John Thorne and Drake Younger. During the match however, Vincent Nothing didn't really get a chance to square off with Drake Younger. The feelings still linger from that match and Vince has issued a challenge that was quickly accepted. "The Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger known worldwide and the current CZW World Heavyweight Champ is known in AIW as a hardcore wrestler. Well, in this contest Vince and Drake have agreed to a "Strong Style Match" and Drake has promised to leave the light tubes at home. Will Drake keep his word? Or will the hard feelings from "Absolution 3" linger and cause Revelation 13 to explode again?

After a grueling 30 minute Iron Man Match with Tyler Black at Absolution 3, Johnny Gargano fulfilled his destiny and won the Intense Title. Gargano faces a huge challenge in his first defense against Former AIW Tag Champ, Shiima Xion. Xion who's been trying to recover from a series of losses since his tag title run in 2005, has a lot to prove in this match. Will Gargano, who's been undefeated since his AIW return be able to keep his streak alive by beating Shiima Xion? Or will Shiima finally get over his losing streak and win AIW gold once again?.

-THE YOUNG STUDS CASH IN THEIR TAG TEAM TITLE SHOT!
Following an insane TLC match at Absolution 3, The Young Studs won an AIW Tag Title shot. The Studs are wasting no time in cashing it in, and the new Alpha Beta Duke tag team combination of Nick Belushi and "KegStand" Carlton Kaz will defend the titles against them. The Young Studs met Alpha Beta Duke once before at Hell On Earth 3 and came up on the short end, but this time, The Studs are on a winning streak. Will Alpha Beta Duke be able to defend the tag titles they just won? Or will the Young Studs finally capture AIW gold.

I was at the double shot with my friends. It was a lot of fun. The IPW boys did well. Except for Kaz. He cost Alpha Beta Duke the Tag belts. Wasn't Kaz the bastest of the bad guys in IPW? IN AIW he's a stupid babyface that falls for anything.

The name KEgStand came form Nick's old partner "KegStand" Patrick Hayes. When Hayes left first ABD added "the sorority sister" Super Oprah(AKA: Jabari) Then at Absolution 3 Oprah didn't make it and the new Keg stand made his debut. In case you didn't get it. ABD is the world greatest wrestling fraternity.

CHIKARA 9/20 Cleveland, OH results

CHIKARA presents "Laying in the Gutter, Looking at the Stars"

Preshow Notes: There's a large crowd that showed up very early, including "a lot more CHIKARMY members" than last night in Streamwood. The CHIKARMY members that were there seemed to be kind samaritans and allow some of the people waiting longer in line to get in with their guest pass. Strong attendance again, though a little lower than the 175 that showed up the night before.

1. Willie "da Bomb" Richardson vs Buck Hawke: A "Willie's Gonna Kill You!" chant starts off early for our miniscule Canadian friend. Very similar to the Soul Touchaz' hometown special match last night, with Willie throwing Buck around like a ragdoll early. To make up for the fact that he couldn't get Willie, Hawke decided to take out C-Red to vent his frustrations. Hawke gets the win in 4:30, using a metal bracelet wrapped around his fist to knock out Willie for the cheap win.

2. Incognito and Helios vs Team FIST (Icarus and Gran Akuma): FIST have come well equipped with their working boots today, putting on an awesome rudo performance against the luchador duo. Icarus is going absolutely nuts yelling at people in the crowd, picking random people at will and wishing the worst things on them. Icarus gets the pinfall in 9:35 via small package on Incognito.

3. Jimmy Olsen vs Johnny Gargano: Gargano came out and made some rather lewd comments about Mary-Kate and Ashley that are questionable when it comes to "family friendly". The crowd has started dueling "WE LOVE JIMMY/WE LOVE JOHNNY" chants, quite the happy alternative to the usual dueling chants. At one point, Johnny began beating Jimmy down using the Kaiju balloons for sale at the gimmick table. Jimmy Olsen gets the win in 10:09 with a piledriver, good match.

4. Da Soul Touchaz (Marshe Rockett and Acid Jaz) vs The Osirian Portal (Ophidian and Amasis): To no one's surprise but everyone's delight, we open with a danceoff between Amasis and Acid Jaz. Ophidian joined in and performed The Worm, putting Scotty 2 Hotty to shame in the process. Hot action throughout, a really good match. In the middle of the action, Acid Jaz was tranced when attempting the Swiss Mist, allowing the Portal to put Marshe in the way to let Jaz accidentally hit the Mist on Marshe. The confusiong allowed the Portal to set up for the Osirian Sacrament for the Osirian Portal to get the win in 8:19.

Intermission.

5. Shiima Xion vs Sami Callihan vs Lince Dorado: Lince was able to get away with the large number of kids in the audience last night, but today, much more indifference and booing. Well, at least it's just like home. Not much to note, very quick. Lince gets the win in 5:16 via shooting star press.

6. Mike Quackenbush, Tim Donst and The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant and Worker Ant) vs The UnStable (Vin Gerard, STIGMA and Colin Delaney) and the Order of the Neo-Solar Temple (Ultramantis Black and Crossbones): A huge chant of "STIGMA'S FAT!" early on. The typical absurd CHIKARA multi-man tag, built up slow to a bunch of crazy, unique spots. Donst and Vin were both crotched on dueling corner posts at one point, as well as a huge crossbody spot on the UnStable by Worker and Fire Ant. Pretty much insanity to the point where it's impossible to keep up. Fire Ant pins Vin Gerard for the victory following the Ant Hill in 16:12, really fun match.

7. Claudio Castagnoli vs Drake Younger: Claudio tripped on the ring steps on the way to the ring, so he exacted his revenge by hitting them with a European Uppercut. Having some cell problems, so details are going to be skim from here on out, but Claudio wins in 8:29 via Ricola Bomb.

8. Campeonatos de Parejas: Incoherence (Delirious and Hallowicked) vs Super Smash Bros. (Player Uno and Player Dos): Super Smash Bros. come down to the ring using Guile's music from Street Fighter. Clearly these men are here for war and to take the belts.

Primera Caida: Uno has not forgotten what Delirious said about Princess Peach and the two have picked up right where they left off in June at Young Lions Cup. Delirious managed to get the upper hand, though, and take the first fall via pinfall after a pause at 2:45. Incoherence goes up 1-0.

Segunda Caida: Essentially a sprint, tons of fun. Player Dos lands a frog splash with ridiculous height on Hallowicked to prove last night wasn't a fluke and to catch the second fall in 6:24. Incoherence and Super Smash Bros. are tied, 1-1.

Tercera Caida: There was a very close nearfall where Delirious hit the Chemical Imbalance II and Hallowicked hit the Graveyard Smash, both were kicked out of. Following a Pac-Man Fever in 12:00, SUPER SMASH BROS. ARE THE NEW CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS!

This is from another board. I just posted my thoughts in between the results of the AIW show. The show results are in "quotes"...





"Show drew between 150-200 PAID. Chikara drew a little over a 100 PAID."

Yeah, between 150-200. Are you saying it was 175? I would say that their were more fans at the AIW show, and I did see people once and then they disappeared. So its possible.

"Homeless Handicap Connection beat The Switchblade Saints and DA Latin Crime Syndicate"

I missed this one, My Friends and I went out to dinner at the Lebanese restraint down the street a bit and were a little late. I can't remember the name of it but the food was great.

"Benny Boone beat Rebis/Potato"
It was fun. If you see Rebis and Dave on a show and expect anything other then a comedy match, I'd love to know why. This was actually Potato's last night in AIW. He joined the National Guard.

"Thrillbilly murdered Rebis/Potato/Thomas Von Erich, best part was Agent Aaron Bauer punching a dead TVE and asking for a DDT"

They spoofed the Jake Roberts incident that happened at the Firestorm Pro show the week before. If you don't know what I'm talking about check out TMZ.com.

Was Thrillbilly really drunk? When he stepped of the bottom rope it looked like he was going to fall over and he looked a little shaky after he mauled TVE.

"Jimmy Demarco returned to AIW and pinned Facade in a scramble with Marion Fontaine and Matthew Justice also involved."

The honky ninja is over! Live with it! I expect a funny ass promo on the DVD! Demarco grinding on that old woman was funny as hell!

My friend Melissa called it when Nick said He'd buy the whole crowd beers after they win. " New Champs"
Were you talking about this tag match when you said it was bad? Every time I see TJ he's better then he was before. Why does he get so much nuts? I doubt anyone at the show thought he looked like "a chick without tits".

2. Its a shame more of the Chikara fans didn't stay for the AIW show because they would have loved this match.
3. Gargano & Shiima are not over hyped! That match proved that when people talk about them they do it because they are worth talking about!



"Drake Younger retained the CZW World Title VS. Vincent Nothing when both men were counted down for a ten count. Crowd chanted for 5 more minutes, but neither man could. Match was crazy with them brawling thru the crowd and into the parking lot. Drake and Vince cut promos at the end and put each other and Drake apologized to AIW for past sins."

I hope to the gods that the rematch happens in December because I can't make the November show.


"Mike Tolar beat Tyler Black with a roll up, afterwords TB attacked Tolar until the his former rival, Marion Fontaine made the save"

I think fans are over looking this match. It was d**n good! Tyler's bit about his injured pinky was gold!

"SJK retained The Absolute Title over The Duke with the help of Josh Prohibition."

1. I called it! To the Duke!
2. I was disappointed that AIW didn't add a Chikara wrestler in the mix. Am I the only one who thinks THE DUKE! vs. SJK vs. Player Uno would have been awes owe? What about Akuma or Lince Dorado? Can you Imagen THE DUKE getting a head scissors?
3. f**k the haters! Hail THE DUKE!
4. f**k Matt Riney! Hail THE DUKE!
5. For a second I thought the Duke was going to win the belt.

In closing the show was a lot of fun. I'm glad I got my friends to go to it.



Both shows were awesome. Melissa bought an Ultra mantis black tee and a lucha mask that looks a bit like stigmas.
