Card Thus Far:
THE FINAL FOUR BATTLE ROYAL
Set up much like a Royal Rumble 20 men will compete for the opportunity to become one of the final four men. The final four men will then have then advance to the Final Four Tournament to be held on Feb 17th, the winner becoming the ICW Champion. This match has been a staple of ICW since its inception helping crown two Heavyweight and one Midwest Champion, however, we are going to be adding a new twist. Where in the past the match has stopped once the final four have been reached, this time it will continue to the final man, who will then have the advantage of choosing their opponent in the first round of the Final Four tournament! In addition to the stars already announced for the show old school local favorites Dayton Suave and Violent Ed will be back for one shot at the title!
After hearing his request had been turned down to retain his Cruiserweight Championship in favor of retiring the title, Appollo Starr immediately cried fowl. Pointing out that the white JC Bailey had been allowed to retain his title, while the African-American Starr had been denied his. He has officially made a "request" for the ICW Tag Team Championships with partner Drew Johnson, on the basis of several unfounded claims toward ICW. That being said they will not be given the titles, but will have to earn them, and on Jan 12th they will have that opportunity.
**UPDATE**
When it was announced that the ICW Tag Team Championship would be on the line, and that one team was still be sought, the ICW offices flooded with calls, promo packets, and various other forums of resumes, then Insane Lane called. Lane, already scheduled to appear at the show, had a request. He and his partner Corey Shaddix are multiple time Tag Champions in the Deep South, most notably having several reigns as Full Throttle Wrestling Tag Champs. That being said, Lane who came to ICW to prove he was just as capable wrestling under rules as he was fighting without them, requested the ultimate opportunity to prove himself, and his partner. On Jan 12th we will crown new tag team champions, and The Great Southern Trendkill, known just as much for their bloody brawls as The Soul Shooters are for the technical abilities will be forced to go up against a team who is uber talented, uber proven, and uber hungry... This could be the battle that puts the ICW Tag Team scene on the map, and puts one of these tag teams in the international spotlight they both crave.
