This is THE Sweet Lou Roberts drawing up yet another "Short & Sweet" on the show of all shows. I haven't anticipated an Insanity Pro Wrestling card quite as much as I have as this one. This is just an amazing line up and A LOT going on for everyone involved. So, let's get to it.
The Irish Airborne (Jake and Dave Crist) vs The American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards)...Where do the FORMER IPW Tag Team Champions have at stake since they no longer carry the belts? Pride and a sure fire shot at getting their hands back in reach of what they claim as theirs. The combination of the two, Richards and Edwards, have been blazing a trail the world over and they are making a stop at IPW to prove that the American Wolves are the dominant force in tag team wrestling today. However, blood is thicker than water and the Irish Coffee is good till the last drop. Now, if they'd only utilize Greg Carey THIS TIME, they'd surely be back on top and on the fast track back to their IPW Tag Team titles (that Doug Charles and Aaron Extreme, DnA, possess).
Champion Jon Moxley vs Jimmy Jacobs...In a Dog Collar Match...When will this end? When one competitor just doesn't have it in him to continue? When both are permanently injured? When Jon Moxley finally breaks from all the pressures of carrying every accolade on the independent scene today, including the most prestigious of all...the IPW World Heavyweight Title...Can the "Street Dog" Jon Moxley survive? Will Jimmy Jacobs prevail? Will both men end up a bloody mess? Time will tell.
Junior Heavyweight Champion Ricochet vs AR Fox...Ricochet is the 2010 Super Junior Heavyweight Tournament Champion and Title Holder and has proved to be nothing short of resilient against all comers. However, the up-and-comer, AR Fox, has quite a bit to bring to the table and will give Ricochet a run for his money! Look out! There's gonna be bodies flying around in this one!
Sami Callihan vs Kyle O'Reilly...Stiff...Brutal...Scary...Sadistic...Both men are excellent at striking, wrestling, submissions and making ugly faces. I wonder if this'll go to a time limit draw. Both have super conditioning, great knowledge of the game and are fast becoming the best rising stars in the independent scene today. My money...on Sami Callihan...he's a sick individual who'll stop at nothing to maim, scar and permanently shelf a wrestler for good. O'Reilly better bring his A-Game.
Colt "BOOM BOOM" Cabana vs Jesse Emerson...Good times, Great memories?...for sure...Colt Cabana will be returning to IPW! And, what a better way to showcase him than match him up with the future number one contender to the IPW World Heavyweight Title, Jesse Emerson. Look out, Colt, Greg Carey is in Emerson's corner and he is, in most instances, an insurance policy. SOME individuals just don't know how to utilize him or WHEN to utilize him. Emerson's smart enough to use Greg's services...
Scotty Vortekz vs Simon Sezz...the Feud Renewed and I have to wonder...will we be seeing some old school Insanity? These two will eat each other alive and come back fighting for more. The winners?...the fans...this is gonna be a sight to behold...
Tarek the Legend vs "Tornado" Tony Kozina...AMERICAN JR HEAVYWEIGHT PIONEERS COLLIDE...Two of my favorites...after Tarek's amazing showcase at the SJHT 2010, I'm hoping he's got it in him to come out on top. Sure to be the highlight of the night.
Dustin Rayz vs Rich Swann...I saw Rich Swann compete out east and he had quite the repertoire of moves. I highly recommend you google this kid up, he's googlable. Lots of athleticism to spare...BUT...Dustin's ready...and he's mad as hell...someone better call Swann's family and notify 'em, he may NOT be coming home right away. Welcome aboard, Rich Swann...and good bye just the same.
Chuck Taylor vs Dave Davidson...Mr. Independent Himself, Chuck Taylor versus the Big Bear, Dave Davidson? Ok, this should be interesting. A stark contrast in styles. Two veterans. My money?...on Davidson...the Big Bear is a Big Beast and he's hungry as hell goin' into winter.
