So this is the question I have been asked more than any other.
What does “Bubbles” mean ?
To be honest I have no idea. It all started early in our run in Martinsville, I had some sort of back and forth argument with some of the fans during a match, and one of them shouted something along the lines of “ Shut Up Bubbles” and somehow the d**n thing stuck. I don’t know if it is related to Michael Jacksons monkey from back in the 80’s or if it is just some sort of off the wall Fat joke or what. It is quite amusing though. I know that the first time the “ You Popped Bubbles” chant started when someone slammed me or tried to put me through a table I almost started laughing out loud when I should have been selling. Not to mention the ever popular “ You Blow Bubbles “ chant… wow, how creative. I love the times people have brought their little bubble blowers and shower me with them. Of course I have to act angry and all, but man it just shows that I do have some sort of connection to the crowd.
It has died down the last year, which is fine, it’s run it’s course . Just like the Council of Champions faded into distant memories, so has Bubbles. Time to move on. I am just afraid of what will be coming next.
To this day I am shocked more people have not picked up on my resemblance to Brad Pitt…. Wait, I meant Richard Karn. You know, Al from Home Improvement. Not a day goes by when someone doesn’t say something about it. I just won’t make it cheap by wearing Flannel to the ring. I refuse. That would make it too easy, plus I think I look way more like Denzel.
