WWE.com has announced that it has released the following talents: -Mickie James -Shelton Benjamin -Kung Fu Naki -Jimmy Wang Yang -Slam Master J -Katie Lea Burchill www.wwe.com/inside/news/superstarsreleased_____________________________________________________________________________________________ I always thought Shelton had a big future with WWE, I was expecting him to be World Champ sooner or later. Now that he's released, there could be a possibility that he can come to IPW ? I see him having some good matches with some of our Jr. Heavyweights. |

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Mickie James was released by WWE after arriving late for the bus multiple times during the recent European tour. Apparently this was the final straw and sealed her fate with the company.
Regarding Mickie James' shocking release today from WWE, she was fired because she more than once on the European tour arrived late for the bus, holding up travel.
That was considered the straw that broke the camel's back dating back to her being disciplined by being sent to SmackDown! due to substandard performances and issues with her weight. They were also not happy with her music aspirations. Maria felt the same wrath with her release from WWE. WWE management doesn't take kindly to their talent doing outside projects while working a full-time WWE schedule.
According to a source, she had just beaten a bad staph infection and was lucky to return in time for Wrestlemania. Many felt she should have been more professional in her dealings with WWE.

Katie Lea Burchill has been released from WWE today.

mickie james will go back to TNA. remember everyone, thats where she came from originally. Shelton is already in talks with TNA. as far as the rest, no idea whats going to happen.

WWE is complete nuts. i bet jack swagger is next to be released. according to vince, he's still has more to release. and the majority of these released will go to TNA. making TNA more watchable because of the names. while WWE gets the next newbies. not to mention WWE is censored and family friendly. no blood, no weapons, no chair shots, no nothing. while TNA is hardcore, everything goes like wrestling is suppose to be. you people should of watched this past PPV LOCKDOWN. every match had BLOOD everywhere, jeff hardy did his finisher from the TOP LADDER that was on TOP of THE f**kING CAGE!!!!!!! im surprised no one died at that PPV. TNA is f**king awesome while WWE is shooting down the nutster really quick
