***Junior Heavyweight showcase***
Dustin Rayz V.S. Johnny Motley
The 1st time I met Dustin Rayz was in late 2006. He was at a IPW show for a "tryout match" I remember how he would do all of these backflips off the top rope with ease. Needless to say....he became a full time member of IPW. In 2007 we wrestled each other in the IPW Junior tourny in the 1st round. Not only is that match one of my favorite matches, but was the day I became a fan of Dustin Rayz. Now fast forward 2 years to the 2009 IPW jr tourny. I was not surprised a bit as Dustin Rayz stood in that ring, holding the IPW Jr title in one hand and the IPW Jr trophy in the other. He and "independent sensation" B-Boy had a fantastic match in the finals of that tourny. It was time for Dustin to make a name for himself. Since then he has wrestled all over the US, including JAPW in New Jersey and most recently, competing in the Chikara's Young Lions tournament in Pennsylvania.
The 1st time I met Johnny Motley was in 2009 when I was booking for the NWA-INDIANA. I needed a kid for a dark match. D-Von Fury and Kenny Couragous suggested Johnny. I didn't think much of it, until I saw him wrestle. Great look, very athletic, incredible FIRE! I immediatly started using Johnny on the main show. Johnny has had the chance to work Prince Ali and Jimmy Jacobs but really hasn't broken out on to the Independent scene....JUST YET!
So that's how this match has come together. I want everybody to see the talent Johnny Motley has and why I think Motley is a future star in wrestling just like I knew 3 years ago Dustin Rayz would be. If you never seen Johnny live, now is your chance. And if you have seen Johnny, come to the show on November 7th and show your support for him. Remember for 5 dollars you will see great wrestling for a great cause!
