YES, The Family and I had a very good time at the show !! The attendence for the show was 438 , (got this from the suits at the door) , the biggest problem was ROH had no seats left and a few walked away when they hear this !
With some more thinking about the seats or many using bleachers (everyone could of seen the whole show) -----a bigger building is needed for this next show in Oct .
NOW for a little STORY here : ---Last night , I got asked so many times about the shirt I was wearing (by all the suits--& many fans ) the locals still have not a glue about IPW and where the shows are at . I personal got very tired explaining the shirt and where the show was at !
THE big point here -----IS the administration / management, just plain BLOW this great opportunity to pass out some flyers or cards to the people to maybe let some more wrestling fans this information that there is a local show in town !!-----This is the people that do come to the indy-shows around Indiana , in attendance last night .
With ALL the fans wearing the IPW shirts to this show ---FUNNY --it got the attention of all the suits / owner/ wrestlers --that where at the show .
Now , I am going to agree here on some of the post on the ROH site (and there is many) that are what is called "smart posters" and they real like to show it !! And are not afraid to point this out !!

IPW Got someones attention huh, well I should say so. We have the best talent available in the midwest. How many people on that show did you recognize from IPW shows?? Now, I would love to hear about the conversation you had with the suits.

Oldschool,
I sent several emails to ROH asking if it would be possible to for IPW to hand out flyers at the show. From my experience in Dayton, local promotions handed out flyers there. I never got a response on any of the 5 emails I sent to them over the past 2 weeks to ROH. With no response from them, I felt it would be rude and disrespectful to show up the night of the show and ask to hand out flyers. I would also say roughly 60 to 75% of that crowd was from out of state. Indianapolis for a promotion like ROH is a great location. Centralized to places like Chicago, Dayton, Cincinatti, Detroit, Louisville, and St Louis.
I agree a great oppertunity was lost, but it was not because the effort was not there.
My family enjoyed the show as well. My daughter loved the lights and she enjoyed dancing to the music.

OK, answer for Joe ----They really liked the shirts and know of the group from other wrestlers that do work at the shows and had hear very good things about IPW . They were just shocked about all the shirts at the show that was only wondering about the good /bad of this group and what was the fan base (attendance) at the shows . I only took it as just checking out the competition , here ! Now all of them were very glad to hear all the good things that my wife & myself said & answered their questions the best we could at the time . They did want to know just who was the owners to the group --but I personally (don't know) but lead them to this web-site . But I did --say that there was 2 of them here at the show . ( i only thought that Mike & Greg should make this step, only here ) They were asking about what talent (good/bad) was on the shows ---I responded this : Some of the your-guys work sometime at the show --and just left it that way . -----they said --We will check that out !-----Now what that might that say ---- ?--your guess is as good as mine ! NOW , to answer Mike Williams -----Mike , there was 12 people(all with kids/&others ) that came up to us ----all living in Indy --(that was always the 1st thing I ask ) --they hear of the show but did not know where it was at . Plus on what day you ran on --Most of them wanted to know this / location/ talent/ date/ price , how big of a turnout at this show . And what I thought of the shows ----my answer was ---if I didn't like them I wouldn't be wearing the shirt . Mike --I only said the statement to you ----YES---you missed a great opportunity ----it could of happen as you guys do the WWE shows here ---OUTSIDE !! NOW --could ROH be looking for a development group ??-----this is what I would try and sell to them . Now, at the end of the show --Idid ask ---Come back sooner ---answer ---WE are !!---was very surprised at the big turn-out to this one !----But the only next time to get was Oct . ---But would be looking in to next year for Indianapolis area . --Plus the TV deal could lead into a bigger building for them . They were just shocked about this turn-out from Indy ! I only hope this does answer some of the questions here ---I did not want to step on anyones toes here !!!!!! But just think ---a little advertisement from them could of been a whole lot more people to this show ---and IPW , too !! Let's just hope that ROH does come back ---for that buck--what a show !! Totally better then WWE ------just need BETTER food ! IPW has them beat here on that !!

It is hard to flyer inside of the fair grounds like that. I have attempted to do that before during the state fair when some WWE guys were signing autographs. We did get some flyers out but we asked to stop or be removed by the fair staff. It is very ify to hand out flyers at a show when no promission is granted. At the WWE events, the owner of WWE is not 20 feet from where you would be doing it. Cary, the owner was thanking fans for coming out just inside the doors as people were leaving. In order to make we hitt he crowd just as leaving so we didn't miss any one we would have had to have been right outside the door. In my eyes, and I'm sure in theirs as well, anyone who is ballsy enough to hand out flyers with out permission 20 feet from the owner trying to capitlize on the success of my show, I would be upset. If persmission is given that is a whole different ball game. Trust me, if the permission was given we would have had flyers out the wazoo!!
We have a few of the ROH guys as regulars on IPW shows, (Irish Airborne and Davey Richards) and if we promoted the show at the ROH show with out permission and either of them were on the flyer, or if the officials with ROH went to our website and saw they were associated with IPW, then that could have caused problems for them as well. There is a lot more involved here then a lot of people are looking at.
And once again, I agree a great oppertunity was lost on our behalf, but we will work forward from this. Congrats to ROH. It was a great show.

Oldschool, you were standing right there at the end of the night when I introduced myself to Cary Silkin the owner of ROH. I even pointed out your shirt to him and said I was one of the owners.

THANKS ---For that answer to my question here .
I wasn't trying to step on any TOES , here !!
Guess , I was just surprised at all the questions the shirt was getting at the show ! And seen a great opportunity to promote the show ----but as you have stated --ROH granted no permission to do so . And as using some of the talent at times --could make some mad ---BUT this is just another story for another time ---hope everyone understands my point here on this subject !
Sorry but I just want to see more people at IPW shows . ---Can you see 400 people at one of your shows ?--(ha-ha) the building couldn't handle it !!

Greg --YES --I do remember that ---you seen that I just walked by ---it was only YOUR turn to talk at that time .
Cary , just walked by us and looked at the shirts thru out the night , plus I had already talked to him ---when HE asked some questions !
Funny point of it --I know who he was from the first --but acted like I didn't know !! And the two guys outside selling the tickets in suits as the show was going on --asked the most questions to the wife &myself --as we were smoking outside ---and when Cary showed up to check on them ---our conversation stopped . That is when we got front-row seats to the next show and Cary spoke to the wife about the shirts (he like them--looked good ) and just wonder about IPW like he didn't know of them !------( SURE) !!---I thought !!----LIKE the other guys said they hear about IPW from some of the wrestlers !-----it was all good !!
Now I hope this answers your question here Greg .
Plus I asked the grandkids --what is the best show (roh/ipw) --and their answer was --IPW --they could see all the matchs / and they where better ! They hated the fact the front seats would stand-up in front of others in the back and they couldn't move around to see all the action . -----NOW , that's 9 year olds for you !!--LOL!!
