On Saturday Night September 26th the Heartland Wrestling Association returns to the Donald E Prues Center in Norwood as they present HWA Pick Your Poison 2009.

Tickets for the event are $10 for Adults and just $5 for Kids 14 and Under! Bell Time is at 8:00 PM!

Now a look at the matches signed for this huge event...



King Vu survived the challenge of Dave Crist once thanks in part to his loyal subjects The Noble Bloods and Shawn Bond. But in the rematch at HWA Pick Your Poison, King Vu's Court will be banned from ringside.
Can Dave topple the man who defeated his younger brother for the title? Or will Vu add another Crist to his list of victims?
It is the HWA's most prestigious battle royal of the year. Two men will start, every 60 seconds another man will enter. The last man standing when it is all said and done will receive a contract to face anybody on the HWA roster, at any time in any kind of match!

"ASTONISHING" AARON WILLIAMS
The current HWA American Luchacore Champion and the winner of the 1st Annual Pick Your Poison Battle Royal, Aaron could make history by winning the event two years in a row.
JT STAHR
One of the most decorated athletes in HWA history. JT Stahr could use the Pick Your Poison contract to get back into the hunt for the HWA Heavyweight Title.

JESSE EMERSON
The man who won last year's HWA World War III battle royal hopes to continue his over the top success in this year's Pick Your Poison Battle Royal!

DOMINIQUE STEELE
Norwood's own Dominique Steele will once again step into an HWA ring but this time it won't be under MMA rules. However the street fight like atmosphere of a battle royal will play to all of Dom's strengths.

"NEW ATTITUDE" RON MATHIS
Ron Mathis will have a chance to display his new attitude and prove he can get to the top of the HWA all on his own at the second annual Pick Your Poison Battle Royal.

"THE MADNESS" CHRIS HALL
The powerhouse from Springfield, Hall is the most powerful man in this year's Pick Your Poison Battle Royal and if his performance in last year's is any indication he is a man the other competitors will want to avoid.

V-RAD
After suffering a knee injury a few weeks back, V-Rad has vowed to return for the Pick Your Poison Battle Royal. Will the former Entourage member regret this decision?

THE HYBRIDS

The HWA Tag Team Champions will pull double duty as Donovan Cain and Jason Lyte look to achieve individual glory as the winner of this year's Pick Your Poison Battle Royal.

DEVON MAXIMUS
Still in search of his first win in the Heartland Wrestling Association, Maximus has to be considered a long shot to win, but history has taught us that anything can happen in a battle royal.

UTTERLY FABULOUS
Cult favorites Kid and Sid, collectively known as Utterly Fabulous, will be looking to boogie and grind over the competition and pull off one of the biggest upsets in the history of the HWA.

THE NOBLE BLOODS
Matt Taylor, Chad Cruise and Shawn Bond are on a mission from King Vu eliminate any and all threats to his title in the battle royal and claim victory for The King's Court.

For the first time ever the IPW World Heavyweight Title will be defended at an HWA event. Current IPW Champion Poison Appollo Starr will defend his title against the greatest HWA Heavyweight Champion in history, Jake Crist.



After rumblings of the retirement of former HWA Heavyweight Champion "The Buffalo Bad Boy" Brian Jennings began circulating, "The Most Dangerous Man in the HWA" Jon Moxley issued a challenge for Buffalo to meet him one last time.

Will Buffalo accept the challenge? And if so will Moxley finally settle his unfinished business with Jennings? Or will Buffalo end his career on a high note?


The HWA Tag Team Championship may not be up for grabs but The Kosher Klub (Joseph Schwartz & Sean Tylerstein) will have a chance to make a great first impression on the HWA if they can defeat the reigning HWA Tag Team Champions The Hybrids (Donovan Cain & Jason Lyte).

I thought the rule was one person couldnt hold two singles titles, never said anything about tag and a singles title

Jake Crist couldn't hold this IPW title very long this isn't HWA , or is it ?

Has he ever wrestle Owens / Younger/ Vortekz/ Jedd/ Otis/Richards/Delirious without it being a scripted match ?

Jake is good but just not on the pedestail that you put him on .

Quick results from last night's HWA Pick Your Poison event in Norwood...

JT Stahr defeated V-Rad in the opening match.

IPW World Heavyweight Champion Poison Appollo Starr successfully defended his title against Jake Crist.

"Buffalo Bad Boy" Brian Jennings answered the challenge of Jon Moxley, defeating "The Most Dangerous Man in the HWA" in the process.

In a match that was originally scheduled to be a non-title affair, The debuting Kosher Klub became the new HWA Tag Team Champions defeating The Hybrids.

Jon Moxley, who physically took the spot of Random Dragon in the Pick Your Poison Battle Royal, went on to win the HWA's most prestigious battle royal of the year by eliminating "Astonishing" Aaron Williams, who was the first man in the battle royal.

And in the main event, referee Joe Kopasz ruled that Dave Crist could no longer continue after King Vu pummeled him with a succession of Coronations. The match was awarded to Vu via forfeit.
