Despite reports surfacing earlier, ECW Champion Christian will wrestle William Regal on this weekend’s WWE Summerslam PPV. Dave Meltzer reported earlier this afternoon that creative members were complaining about having nothing serious for ECW Champion Christian, which led to speculation that the Christian/Regal feud was not booked in to the show. Ultimately, however, WWE decided to add a third world title bout to the show.
-- WWE’s upcoming Breaking Point PPV is not expected to be an all-submissions PPV. Initial reports stated that it would be an all-submission PPV, but those reports were ultimately false. As things stand right now, only the top matches will be submission matches, similar to the upcoming Hell in a Cell PPV, where only the top matches will be contested in the Hell in a Cell.
((Tell me what you think, I mean come on, they had nothing planned for him? THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU DRAFT SOMEONE OVER THERE TO FACE HIM WHEN YOU HAD THE CHANCE. I mean come on they got Shelton, right? He is pretty good...))

Go figure it's the WWE, what do you expect. They have guys with so much talent and no clue how to use any of them.

I can only agree here with that , the commitment is still with the storywriters to come up with something new for everyone . I'm so tried of seeing the DX angle coming back again . Same thing and it's just so stale .

If they wanted to really bring DX back they should have brought back the new age outlaws or xpac.

Not exactly, it was probably more so to add more members to it...I'm pretty sure The New Age Outlaws were in DX with Shawn for a short while, but they brought X-Pac back when WCW fired him, and it just kinda made sense for him to be in thr group...I guess the timing that they brought X-Pac into the group, might had been due to Shawn's injury, but I'm not exactly sure... Anyway, with that being said if WWE brought X-Pac back to the WWE I'd probably mark out for a bit...

- As things stand, Jeff Hardy is finishing up at Summerslam, followed by a television taping. Hardy is telling people he expects to return to the company. His timetable largely depends on if his MTV reality show gets picked up. If the show doesn't get picked up, he could be back in early 2010.
- Look for Smackdown to start leavings hints to build for The Undertaker’s return.

-- This Sunday, Shawn Michaels will wrestle his first match since losing to the Undertaker at WrestleMania back in April. According to the sources, HBK will be working a very light schedule moving forward and is not booked on any live events in September.
There has reportedly been some talk of running DX vs. Legacy as the final match on Sunday's Summerslam pay-per-view. A lot will come down to how WWE books the finishes of the WWE and World Championship matches; if creative scripts neither match to culminate with a happy ending, it might opt to put the tag grudge match on last to send the fans home satisfied.
DX vs. Legacy closing the show is, nonetheless, still a long shot--in the past, rumors that a non-title bout would close the show have typically proven false. The major evidence supporting the rumor, at press time, is the fact that WWE's websites are billing DX vs. Legacy as a featured attraction. On Summerslam.com, the match has been moved to the "main event" category (alongside CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy and John Cena vs. Randy Orton). On WWE.com, DX vs. Legacy has the highest billing.
-- While the exact imminence of Undertaker's return is unclear--all that has been floated is that he is due back in September--Vince McMahon has requested that the SmackDown! team start the tease for his return. Taker's first feud when he returns is expected to be with CM Punk

According to sources, Jeff Hardy has been telling friends that he is leaving WWE after SummerSlam this Sunday. He has given people the impression that he will return at some point but wants time off right now. WWE shot an angle Tuesday for SD! this week where he says he's going against doctors orders by wrestling Sunday at the PPV. WWE would of course need to take the title off him at the PPV. It is possible that he will appear at next weeks SD! tapings as well but this looks to be it for him for the time being.
Lilian Garcia is also expected to work SummerSlam and Monday's Raw before leaving. WWE developmental Diva Angela Fong filled in for Lilian during a recent house show tour. There is no word on if they will use her as a replacement.

Kevin Eck of The Baltimore Sun has an interview up with WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho. Here are some highlights.
On his tag team with Edge ending fast: "It was disappointing because I think we had a great story line in the works, with a lot of trips and traps that were going to lead to a certain place. But it was one of those things that the moment it happened you’re like, “Well, OK, what are we going to do now? Back to the drawing board.” You can’t do anything about it. It’s part of what we do. So it was very disappointing. And then as soon as I found out that they’re going to push The Big Show, I was intrigued about it. You have to turn a negative into a positive and I think we’ve done that. Everyone said it had to be Dolph Ziggler or The Miz. No, this is about two world champions at the top of their game who have a certain stature. Yeah, it would help them, but it wouldn’t help me. We’re trying to reinvigorate the tag titles and reinvigorate Big Show as well. The guy is a giant. He’s a commodity and people need to be reminded of that and we need to start promoting that."
On his feud with Rey Mysterio this year: "Well, I’ve worked with Rey for years, but we never had an official program. We worked once or twice in WCW but never worked in WWE. We had worked plenty of times in Japan when we were working for Tenryu. I just thought it would be a great program between the two of us. When they originally proposed it, it was supposed to be for the Backlash pay-per-view [in April], the one where I ended up wrestling [Ricky] Steamboat. I fought it and said we should take our time and build it. I’m very happy with that story line. Each match was better than the last. The finish with the 619 where I pulled the mask off is probably something that you’ll never see again. It was very memorable. As far as feuds go, it’s a close runner-up to Shawn Michaels."
On older talent in WCW not working with younger talent: "It wasn’t reluctance; it was just denial. They just wouldn’t do it and it [ticked] me off so much because there was a lot of money left on the table. It’s something that I said that I would never do."
On the situation that WWE is in right now: "We’re in a crisis period in WWE and we need to build new guys. When Shawn Michaels came back to Raw, he said, “Whose been built since I left?” On Smackdown we’ve built [John] Morrison and [Dolph] Ziggler and Cryme Tyme. The Intercontinetal title has been rebuilt now with Rey Mysterio. But I can’t tell you on Raw who has been built over the last six months. They better do it soon, because when this generation of performers is gone, who will replace them?"

Can you believe TNA now, they are going the same place as WWE is now. How great...
As noted before, TNA will begin a tournament this week on iMPACT to crown the first-ever Knockout Tag Team Champions. This is probably another move being done because of Jeff Jarrett being out of power.
Jarrett was always firm about having only three titles - the World Title, the X Division Title and Tag Team Titles, before he added the Knockouts Title and then the Legends Title. There had been talk at times of having an X Division Tag Team Titles but Jarrett always felt the more belts you have, the less important they are.
Five of the teams in the tournament are Sarita & Taylor Wilde, Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed, Traci Brooks & Sharmell, Tara & Christy Hemme and The Beautiful People. They might add ODB & Cody Deaner as a team for some comedy. (Source - Wrestling Observer Newsletter)
